PLEASE NOTE:  If you choose the extra long strawberry blond female hairstyle (see Cymoril picture below), your character will appear bald (yes, bald) in the race selection window. This is normal and cannot be helped. The extra long hair for the model does not display in this window. Be assured that when your game starts, your character will have her beautiful golden red hair.

The Melniboneans are a warlike people and very skilled in the black arts as their use of magicka is well regarded. Thus, the race has skill bonuses not only for combat but for heavy (dark) magic as well.

Race Description:

The people of Melnibone. Rulers of the Dragon Isle feared by all races, man and beast for their ruthless dominance over the world for 10,000 years; though they have ceased to rule for less than 500. Cruel as well as clever a Melnibonean is an unequaled Warrior and powerful sorcerer able to conjure and command legions from the netherworld and are unaffected themselves by the elementals. However, the true power of the Melnibonean lies in the sword. With sword in hand a Melnibonean knows no equal. Melniboneans are not trusted by men and usually have little luck

 

Vampire README:

NOTE! -  If you plan on making (or allowing) your new fair skinned Melnibonean to become a vampire, please be aware that the way Bethesda handles Vampires is a bit weird -- they're not well integrated into the game. Thus, each standard race is *hardcoded* to have at most one vampire mesh for the male and one for the female. The models used for this new race are a higher quality and texture than the standard models and the meshes are bigger. The standard face texture size is 256x128 while these are 256x256. In order to make the transformation *to* a vampire work, I had to retexture a Nord head for the male and the female. All that works fine. However, when you are cured of vampirism, your character will be faceless! This is easily fixed by bringing up your console window, now type: enableracemenu That will automatically re-select the Melnibonean head/face you chose originally, now just hit the "Ok" button and you're done. You'll only need to do this after you've been cured of vampirism.
